Tilly takes her phonics songs and gives them a surreal preschooler twist.

We’ve been trying to get Tilly into phonics since starting preschool this year and have a book and CD of phonics songs set to popular times to practice those sounds. Well ever one for parody, surrealism and originality, Tilly this morning was singing her very own phonics song shortly after ShireMum had left for work.

(Sung to the tune of ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands’)

Where is mummy? – m – m – m

Where is mummy? – m – m – m

Where is mummy? – m – m – m

She is in the washer

Before you worry, Tilly was passing the washing machine while ad libbing the end of her song; ShireMum is not to be found on a spin cycle.
